The Critics Choice Association Announces Full Slate of Honorees for the 7th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema and Television

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced the full slate of honorees for the 7th annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, taking place December 9, 2024 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. Actor and comedian Jay Pharoah, known for his work on Saturday Night Live and his recent comedy special Jared, will host this year’s event, which highlights standout performances and work from the black entertainment community.

The Critics Choice Association Announces Honorees for the Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements

Hosted by Nicco Annan of STARZ’s P-Valley, the Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements will took place on December 4 at the Fairmont Century Plaza. STARZ served as the official media partner, and the awards will be shown exclusively on the streaming platform during the month of January. Additionally, STARZ bestowed one of the honorees with a special STARZ #TakeTheLead designation as part of its ongoing commitment to amplifying narratives by, about and for women and underrepresented audiences.

Honorees of the 4th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television

The Critics Choice Association presented the annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television on Monday, December 6 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel. Since 2014, the Celebration of Black Cinema has honored standout achievements in Black filmmaking; this year, for the first time, the awards ceremony also celebrated achievements in television.
