About me, my market, and what I love most about my work:
I talk. I write. I travel! After hosting “Good Morning Arizona” (KTVK-TV 3) for 15 years, I now appear regularly on the show with just my movie reviews, celebrity interviews, and travel adventures. I also host “Behind the Screens” for Harkins Theatres (Side note: best theater popcorn EVER!) and show up periodically when some of my other CCA pals need a guest critic on THEIR shows (special shout out to Mark S. Allen and Lee Thomas).
This is my passion project, or passion in general:
What’s my passion? Besides seeing movies and interviewing some of the most talented people in the industry? Travel for sure! I love connecting with people and sharing their stories. Lately, with my RODE IXLR and iPhone in hand, I’ve been creating some fun travel content and trying to encourage others to get out and explore. In fact, a 1/2 hour travel special I put together for the TV station was nominated for an Emmy (wish me luck Nov 4th!) However, I do love to interview people. My husband may call it being ‘In-Tara-gated’. I simply call it ‘being curious and asking questions.’ It’s a great challenge to try and have a meaningful conversation in a short amount of time. The fact that I can travel and interview people in the process is a dream come true!
What it means to me to be part of the CCA:
Being a member of CCA means a lot. As much as I enjoy watching films and weighing with my thoughts, I love the fact that I get to do so with such a great group of others who share a similar passion. Some of my favorite debates and most meaningful conversations have been with other CCA colleagues. Plus, who doesn’t love the chance to get out of their regular movie-screening garb (in my case, the same yoga pants I’ve been wearing for years) and get dressed up to celebrate film, television, and the movie-going experience!
My favorite film/TV series that I am currently watching and why:
Let’s just say I’ve seen Air more than once (loved!). Television wise – I may or may not have binged most of Suits (I had some time to kill this summer, but stopped after season 7) and I have re-watched the Episode “FORKS” (Episode 7) from Season 2 of The Bear MANY TIMES.
