About me, my market, and what I love most about my work.
I am the Entertainment Anchor/Reporter for Good Day LA on Fox 11. I’ve been with the station for 6 years and FOX as a whole for 9 years for my previous syndicated show Hollywood Today Live!
This is my passion project, or passion in general.
My passion project is my annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Pop Culture trivia night that includes questions about film and TV! 2023 will be my 3rd year planning it, and 100% of ticket and raffle sales goes directly to LLS; helping in the fight against Blood Cancer. It’s near and dear to my heart, as a Blood Cancer survivor myself.
What it means to me to be part of CCA.
Over 3 years, and this was one of my proudest career highlights! I respect so many of my fellow CCA members/colleagues/committee members and many that I am lucky enough to call good friends. I am a part of the Women’s committee and the Latino committee for the annual celebration of Latinos in cinema and television.
My favorite Film/ TV series that inspires/empowers me as a woman & why.
If you know me, then you already know that Wonder Woman has and will always be a strong inspiration that represents resilience, confidence, and a symbol that transcends the superhero genre.
Clueless came out in the 90’s and I still watch it and quote it to this day! Alicia Silverstone owned that role as Cher, but the cast as a whole created this over-the-top-yet-realistic take on Beverly Hills culture…and pop culture! How Stella Got Her Groove Back is also one of my favorite films! Angela Bassett was iconic in this film, and helped us all get our respective grooves back. You can watch it to this day, and still be motivated to: take that trip, give yourself some “me time”, and know you can balance it all with the right people in your life. I also really wish Sex Lives of College Girls existed when I was in college because of how raw and empowering it is, but it’s still an important series to me now because of the relatability factor for so many women. I’m a fan of the comedic timing & delivery…and the great writing (plus Mindy Kaling as the Executive Producer).

The Mandalorian on Disney Plus and Your Honor on Showtime. You can’t go wrong with the great casts, suspenseful stories, heart, plus (for The Mandalorian)….GROGU!)
