About me, my market, and what I love most about my work.
I’ve been doing radio and television reviews all over the country long enough to have seen remakes of sequels. You can see me on LA’s Fox 11 on Friday nights, or earlier that day on Hello Iowa!, and you can hear me on the radio in Oregon, Texas, and Kansas.
The best part of this job is getting to enjoy how entertainment brings us together every week. All the shared emotion with folks you don’t even know makes it fun/frustrating/wonderful/bonkers.
This is my passion project, or passion in general.
I am SO excited for this year and some big projects I have brewing in the world of entertainment. In typical fashion, I can’t talk about those just yet (wink!), but something I CAN share is how proud I am of the CCA newsletter. I proposed it after getting elected to the board in 2021, and I am so proud to say that it is exceeding our expectations in every way. While initially I hoped it would bring that sense of transparency to communication that we all desired, it also has turned out to be a wildly successful revenue stream for the organization. Every week that I write it, I feel a sense of connection to the organization and the members that I had previously been missing. The next time you read it, just know that I was typing it with a smile. And thanks for reading! Keep an eye out for the numerous expansions, improvements, and partnerships I am cooking up for this year.
What it means to me to be part of CCA.
I have been a member of the CCA for a decade. It’s amazing to see the growth of the organization in terms of membership, but also purpose. As I have become more involved, I am constantly inspired by the desire of us all to do and be better. I look forward to our bright future.
Tell us your favourite Film/ TV series that inspires/empowers you as a woman & why?
Watching the Wonder Woman No Man’s Land Battle scene absolutely floored me. The amazing craftsmanship of the film and Gal Gadot’s performance just had me transfixed. A female character that we all know and love, portrayed as the hero she deserves to be, made me think of all the little girls watching the movie soaking in the fact that this is THEM onscreen. No matter how many times I see it, it brings tears to my eyes.
Only good things come from representing all the different kinds of people we have on the planet.
