About me, my market, and what I love most about my work:
Movies have been present most of my life. My dad always took me to see great movies in Puerto Rico’s most iconic movie theatre back in the 1980’s. That led me to work in Puerto Rico’s biggest movie chain for a couple of years, learning mostly everything about the film industry and how to deliver a great film experience to customers. My upbringing also motivated me to start reading and writing film criticism until the present time. A few years ago, I created CINEFAMAPR and my main goal has been providing the best film criticism to my followers. Since 2020, I have also been reviewing films weekly at EL REGUERO (94.7FM) Puerto Rico’s #1 primetime radio show movie segment. On the TV side, I have been providing the best movie recommendations on LA MOVIDA TV movie segment on SBS.
This is my passion project, or passion in general:
My passion is writing film reviews, news, attending special movie screenings, and delivering the best movie critic experience possible to my followers. In general, I love to play the piano, especially playing songs of the 90’s that evoke great memories in my life. My other passion is being a college professor which allows me to share my knowledge and to encourage my students to follow their professional goals in life.
What it means to me to be part of the CCA:
Being part of the CCA is the greatest honor of my life. It allows me to be part of an association full of other talented members and film lovers, giving me a privilege that I will cherish for years to come.
My favorite film/TV series that I am currently watching and why:
My favorite film is Gladiator with Russell Crowe, that is one of those epic movies you’ll never forget. On the TV side, I loved the TV series Only Murders in the Building, with two star power comedians in Steve Martin and Martin Short.
